As councilman, Matt has fought against the unnecessary destruction of Luther Forest, and supported the creation of a municipal water district.
As a member of the NYSP, Matt served across the state to include responding to Ground Zero in the wake of the 9/11 attacks. Matt retired as technical sergeant from the special operations unit, where he specialized in WMD detection.
Matt is currently serving in the NY Army National Guard. As a Guardsman, he responded in the wake of Hurricanes Irene & Sandy, Covid 19, and has deployed overseas in support of the War on Terror.
